Yellow, which is what is in korma, is the most subtle, red can get spicy but is always a little more sweet, green is more sharp even when mild (sort of like citrus) and masaman is more like a western brown sauce but with more "spice" (not hot, just complex)Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14399732285678319048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202885377377842521.post-76759783050291638942013-07-18T20:57:06.920-07:002013-07-18T20:57:06.920-07:00Sooo... curry means "sauce"?Sooo... curry means "sauce"?Jenn @ Something Clever 2.0https://www.blogger.com/profile/01286074881865297507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4202885377377842521.post-30474259577520054302013-07-18T20:55:34.602-07:002013-07-18T20:55:34.602-07:00I had to grab the jar otherwise all I know is that...I had to grab the jar otherwise all I know is that it's yellow and yummy... Korma is a mild coconut curry with cream, coconut milk, sugar, onion, tomato puree, garlic, ginger, salt, and tumeric. It's really good. I'd say at least a 3rd of the food we eat is "eastern" rather than "western" and these are all things you can get at my local Cub, so I don't think about it much. Target carries Patak's too, check it out! It was an American commercial, pretty bland though, not sure I would have remembered it had I not already been hooked on Patak's.
